No, you don’t need to be a qualified electrician. The system operates on a safe, low-voltage 12-volt system, meaning you only need to plug the transformer into a standard outdoor waterproof socket and make sure you don’t overload the transformers. The in-lite system is designed to be easy enough to install yourself.

The number of lights depends on the total installation value (VA) of the lighting you wish to connect and the VA capacity of your transformer. It is crucial to add up the total VA rating rather than the wattage due to power losses. This VA load should not exceed the total stated on the chosen transformer. You can connect up to 75 VA in fixtures to the HUB-75 transformer, while the SMART HUB 75 or 150 can power up to 75 / 150 VA respectively in fixtures. Make sure you read the installation manual for each fixture.

Yes. All you need is an outdoor socket and the in-lite system can be set up flexibly to suit your garden lighting plan. It’s also designed so you can add to the system over time, as your garden or your preferences change.

in-lite transformers and fixtures come with a five-year warranty. This is valid only when they are used in conjunction with in-lite cable. In the unlikely event that something is not right, come back to us with your proof of purchase.
