The materials

Contempo Jura Beige

Contempo Jura Beige porcelain paving was chosen for its:

Sleek, contemporary look that complements the clients’ indoor tiles
Durable, non-slip and easy-to-clean surface
Subtle colour variations that help conceal dirt

As the tile is non-permeable, careful attention was paid to drainage in the design.

Slatted wooden fencing

For fencing, slatted wooden panels were chosen to add interest and maintain the clean aesthetic. The panels were custom-built on-site for a seamless appearance, which required more time but achieved the desired cohesive look.

Gravel pathways

Gravel pathways were used for their cost-effectiveness, permeability, and harmony with the landscape.

Overcoming challenges

The project had unique challenges due to a protected tree, limiting ground disturbance. The team used mulch and matting and constructed above ground level- a solution that maintained both the health of the tree and the integrity of the design.
