Contemporary Thermo Radiata Pine slats/battens can be used to construct modern clean style screens or fences in your garden. Also great for cladding planters etc.

Thermal modification markedly improves durability and dimensional stability (less shrinkage, swelling and distortion than untreated radiata). Themo Radiata Pine has an attractive, warm brown colour produced by the process; which can be left to weather to a silver patina or maintained to keep the golden/brown tone. A chemical-free process, the performance gains for the timber come from heat/steam rather than preservatives. Thermo Radiata is low maintenence relative to untreated softwoods. You can leave it untreated to develop a silver-grey finish, or oil/stain to retain colour. Re-oil or recoat every 2-5 years depending on exposure and product.

We recommend posts at approximately 1m intervals to support the screens and using stainless steel lost head nails to fix.
