The in-lite® SMART HUB transformers are rated to IP23 as they are designed generally for covered installation in sheds or on sheltered exterior walls. Sometimes this is not possible due to site restrictions, and the transformer must be located in an area where it is partly exposed to the elements.

The in-lite® SMART HUB PROTECTOR outdoor casings provide some protection against the elements and make the SMART HUB transformers suitable for outdoor use. The SMART HUB PROTECTOR 2 is made of high-quality plastic and was developed to protect the SMART HUB-300, the SMART HUB PROTECTOR 2 should be used.
