Description
The SMART BRIDGE is an in-lite® SMART system accessory that creates a “bridge” to the internet in order to operate and adjust your outdoor lighting from anywhere in the world. It utilises an ethernet connection to sync the SMART HUB to the smartphone app to make it accessible via Wi-Fi from your phone, rather than the default Bluetooth control that can be limited in range and reliability.
Adding a SMART BRIDGE to your in-lite® SMART system also enables the system’s software to continually update as new versions are released. This means the end user will always have their lights ready to go at the push of a button. Without a SMART BRIDGE, updates must be transferred to the SMART HUB via Bluetooth – this Bluetooth connection acts as a bottleneck and massively increases the time required for software updates to be completed. This also requires the smartphone device to be within Bluetooth range of the HUB to complete the update, which can be inconvenient.
The SMART BRIDGE also enables Google Home, Apple Homekit and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Instructions on how to link the SMART BRIDGE to the in-lite app, Google Home, Apple Homekit and Amazon Alexa can be found in the PDF Instruction Manual on this page.
The SMART BRIDGE should be placed as close to the internet router as possible as it must be connected to the router using an ethernet cable. Provided with each SMART BRIDGE is a 0.5m ethernet cable.
