APL Award 23 case study - Kebur Garden Materials

The vision

The goal for this garden was to transform a previously dark, overgrown space into an elegant outdoor retreat. Working with Mistletoe Garden Design, the clients wanted clearly defined zones for dining and relaxing in a contemporary style.

Valley grey porcelain was chosen for:

Its cool, contemporary tone that lifts and brightens the garden
A sleek finish ideal for primary seating areas
Excellent durability and low maintenance
Its slip resistance

Pro Willow Light Brown Porcelain Paving

Paths were created between the zones using Willow Light Brown paving. It’s warmth contrasts the Valley Grey porcelain and its natural tones complement the surrounding planting.

Western Red Cedar Slatted Fencing

The fencing was chosen to bring warmth and contemporary character through its rich, natural colour that softens the hard landscaping. The slatted design provides privacy whilst keeping a premium finish.

The result

The completed garden is a bright, elegant, multi-level sanctuary that feels both spacious and serene. Defined seating areas, warm timber accents, and a blend of contemporary porcelain create a harmonious outdoor environment perfect for dining, entertaining, or enjoying peaceful moments in the shade.
