What’s going on at Kebur!

On the 15th of August on ITV ‘Love Your Garden’ we saw the show create a path out of ‘Breedon Amber Special Gravel’. They wanted to create a simple pathway with very low maintenance, here at Kebur we supply and stock ‘Gold Path Self Binding Gravel’. It has proven very popular in the last few years to create country paths, parking areas and even small areas in the garden. The Gold Path is 10mm – dust graded and comes in bulk bags 850kg- 1000kg (0.6cu metre). One bag covers around 11sqm at a 50mm depth. The Gold Path is very easy to lay. It needs to be on an area of free drainage to guarantee that the water is not held below the surface. You need to have a solid level base under the area that the self-binding gravel will go, we usually recommend a few inches of scalping’s (MOT)This foundation should then be compacted with a roller not weighing less than 1 tonne to provide a flat level surface. You want to lay in moist conditions to help the materials bind together and then compact the material down to get the best results (Rollers are recommended for this step). Please call a member of staff if you have any further questions.     This September Kebur has decided to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning. On the 25th we will be selling a number of different sweet treats all made by the staff at Kebur, we will also be selling Tea and Coffee. All the money we raise will be going towards a great cause. Macmillan is...
