The flat pieces of slate are suitable for pathways (except paddlestones) borders, features and plant pot toppers as well as for ponds (re-wash prior to use). Not recommended for driveways. The slate is sold in bulk bags (approx. 900kg - 1tonne), or in small 'pick up' poly bags (approx. 20-25kg). As a rough rule, a bulk bag will generally cover 24 square metres to a depth of 25mm, whilst a poly bag will cover 0.6 square metres at the same depth. |
