Description
New Treated Brown Softwood Sleepers are a popular choice of sleeper as they are lighter in weight and easier to cut. Pressure Treated Brown. 2.4m x 100mm x 200mm.
Can be used with timber-fast screws, mending plates and corner braces.
Please note our softwood sleepers have recently changed in dimension from 225mm to 200mm wide. New Softwood Sleepers are machined from natural, unseasoned timber that has not undergone any drying process, so they will naturally season over time. This means the timber may distort or split as it dries and shrinks in different directions. This is completely normal and helps to give sleepers a natural look. It will not affect the integrity of the product if orientated appropriately.

These were just the job for my raised border. They were surprisingly, light enough for my wife and I to carry around to our back garden and easy enough for me to saw by hand. The coach screws I also bought click & collect from Wickes did a great job of fastenning the joints and I found that I could use my socket wrench to pull them up really tight making each corner look very neat and professional.
