Designing a suitable layout for your paved area is crucial to getting the best from your materials.

There is no right design or pattern, but factors such as the age and style of your property, as well as the material and availability of different sizes must be taken into account, as well of course as your own likes and dislikes.

On these few pages are some ideas to help you, but if you get stuck we will always be happy to help you find the right patterns and layouts, and do all the calculations for you to make sure you get the right amount of materials.

Random patterns

Pattern 1 – For flagstones in the following 7 sizes

A : 900 x 600mm
B : 600 x 600mm
C : 600 x 450mm
D : 450 x 450mm
E : 600 x 300mm
F : 450 x 300mm
G : 300 x 300mm

Pattern 2 – For flagstones in the following 6 sizes

A : 600 x 600mm

Regular patterns

Tudor

A classical early renaissance design, suitable for historic and tudor reproduction properties

Dutch

A later 18th/19th Century design which works well in a semi-formal setting

Lattice

Can be made in a variety of sized stone.

Bradstone Natural Sandstone Patio Pack

This is a laying pattern for the 15.3 sq mtr patio packs for Brastone Natural Sandstone, Antique Sandstone, Natural Limestone and Natural Polished Sandstone. These kits consist of 9 of 300x300, 13 of 600x300, 13 of 600x600, 13 of 900x600.
